What is a Break Room and why break things or splatter paint?

A break room is a place where you can destroy things in a controlled and safe environment for the ultimate entertainment or stress relief. We provide protective gear, safety education, breakable items to smash and an overall fun & exciting experience. Why? Because why NOT? The opportunity to let it all out without judgment, consequences or clean up is exhilarating! Plus, painting is therapeutic and who doesn’t want to make a mess and some art at the same time? Level up that entertainment game and come see us!

What are your hours and location?

Our hours are Thursdays and Fridays from 6pm-10pm, Saturday from 12pm-10pm and Sunday from 12pm-6pm.  Our location is at 2215 NW 178th Street, Suite A in Edmond. Just west of the intersection at 178th & Penn. Turn on the street directly next to the OSO building and look for our banner.

Do I need an appointment and do you take walk ins?

Online appointments are highly recommended, as we cannot guarantee openings if you walk in.  Just try to call us first, we’ll do what we can to fit ya in!

How do I book a celebation or private event using your party room?

You should contact us directly at (405) 920-6400 as we do not book parties online through our booking system. We have exclusive timeslots for use of the party room and require a 50% deposit upon confirmation.  Call us today…we book up pretty quickly!

What time should I arrive for my appointment?

Please do not be late! Have all members of your party arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment time. We have implemented this time into each experience to allow participants time to check-in, sign waivers and get suited up in protective gear. Late arrivals will have their experience time cut after 15 minutes past the appointment time and could forfeit their appointment with no refunds. No call, no shows will not be rescheduled or refunded. See this policy on our Rules page.

What are the minimum ages for each activity?

  • Break Rooms – recommended for ages 12+. Ages 12-17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, 18 years or older.
  • Splatter Room – recommended for ages 3+. Ages 3-17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, 18 years or older.
  • Smash Alley – recommended for ages 3+. Ages 3-17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, 18 years or older.
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: Parents do not have to participate, we have windows or tv viewing. As long as you are present, that is great!

What do I wear? What do I bring?

For Break Room experiences, please arrive in closed-toe shoes (preferably ones with HARD SOLES!) Our coveralls go up to size 7X. If you do not want to wear our protective coveralls or feel that our coveralls may not accomodate you at this time, please come in jeans and long sleeve shirts. This is for your safety! Please note that you may become hot and sweaty due to the physical nature of this experience (short sleeve shirts under the coveralls are best). For Splatter Room experiences, dress in clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting messy in. You may bring an extra set of clothes to change into – don’t worry we have all the paper towels and baby wipes to clean up with. We also have white t-shirts and hats, ponchos, shower caps, shoe covers and flip flops for purchase. Break Room add-ons are also available in our lobby. Bring a credit card or cash, in case you want to add on breakables, splatter enhancers or take home some merch!

I’m pregnant…can I participate in the Break Room?

We highly recommend AGAINST participating in our Break Room experience if you are pregnant or think that you may be pregnant. We would be devestated if too much exertion or a freak accident put you and/or your baby at risk. Although you will be signing a waiver, we cannot deny you service, however we strongly suggest a safer option like the Splatter Room or Smash Alley.

What types of items will I be breaking?

You will be breaking a wide variety of items in your crate: wine, liquor and beer bottles, dishes, figurines, toys, wood, electronics, keyboards, monitors, picture frames, etc. As long as you can break it, we’ll include it. You can also add to your experience with larger items from our lobby stock, such as: big-screen TVs, printers, monitors, PC’s, extra crates and more.

Can I bring stuff from home to break?

100% YESSSSS! You can bring 1 small box of items from home. If you aren’t sure it will be acceptable, just call us to inquire. If you want to bring alcohol bottles, please wash them out before arriving. If you are bringing any electronics, please remove batteries prior to your session. See the DONATIONS tab for what you can and cannot bring to smash.

What will I be using to smash and splatter with?

Each Break Room is set up with baseball bats, hammers, crowbars, small sledgehammers and sometimes even golf clubs. Splatter Rooms have drums, pallets, paintbrushes, foam brushes and blue tape to design your canvas art.

Is the paint washable?

Yes, it is a water-based, neon tempura paint that will wash off of hair, skin and clothes. We have all of the paper towels and baby wipes you will need to get all cleaned up after your experience. It is recommended to soak or wash your clothes within 24 hours to prevent any lingering color from setting in.

What if I want to keep the color in my clothes?

To keep the color in your clothes we recommend LOCTITE High Performance 200 adhesive.  Let the fabric fully dry before spraying; then allow 24 hours to cure. You can purchase LOCTITE at Lowe’s, Home Depot, Wal-Mart or Amazon.

Can I bring my phone in to take pics and videos of my experience at Break Room 405?

Of course! Take all the pics and videos you want, in each area of our facility. Be sure to tag us – @breakroom405 on all social media. You could be featured in one of our ads!

Can I jam out to my personalized playlist while there?

Abso-freakin-lutely! You can stream your playlist on our bluetooth speakers in both break and splatter rooms. Rock out to your favorites while you have a blast with us!

Will I be sharing a room with others?

No, all appointments are private and you will only be with the people you brought with you. If special accomodations are needed, please call us directly.
